Minimum Requirements

To be considered for our Associate Trainee Program, applicants should meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law School of Tanzania and enrolled as an advocate.
  • Hold a minimum Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from a recognized university.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ready to work in a highly competitive, demanding and challenging working environment.
  • Believes in teamwork.                                                                                                                                  

Key Responsibilities

As an Associate Trainee, you will:

  • Draft legal memoranda, opinions, and other documents.
  • Review and analyze legal briefs on behalf of clients.
  • Prepare pleadings and other necessary court documents.
  • Assist partners, directors and senior associates with ongoing legal matters, both locally and internationally.
  • Advise clients on company formation, annual returns, and tax filing matters.
  • Handle follow-ups at various registries.
  • Create presentations and legal alerts on relevant legislative or regulatory updates.
  • Assist in legal research and offer support in significant legal cases.
  • Collaborate with the team to discuss legal strategies and contribute to their development.
  • Other duties as will be assigned from time by the supervising partner/director/senior associate

Duration

  • The programme lasts a maximum of two (2) years.
